The first C, or the cut of a diamond signifies the varied sizes and angles of the diamond. Clarity is all about the visible inclusions and spots within the diamond. It also includes any fractures or mineral deposition. Needless to say, diamonds with fewer inclusions would be more expensive than diamonds with multiple flaws. The carat signifies the weight of a diamond.

As the name says it all, the C for color rates the diamond in terms of its colors. Remember, the colorless diamonds are the more desirable diamonds.

Choosing loose diamonds will depend on where you want them to be set or the occasion for which you are buying one or more loose diamonds.
